Three Books To Increase Your Success

Hello and welcome to my first blog! In this entry I will be sharing with you three books to increase success in all areas of your life. These books have helped me along my journey in discovering my purpose and reaching my goals. If you’re wanting to cultivate more success, joy, and abundance this is a great place to begin.

The Go-Giver: A Little Story About A Powerful Business Idea

Do you want to get ahead in life but you find yourself spinning your wheels? No matter how hard you try, it feels like your lucky break will never come. You go through the motions day after day thinking that if you follow the same protocol, that eventually you will achieve success. But success doesn’t come. And under the surface there’s a nagging feeling that you are missing something important. After all, you notice other people living a life full of abundance, connection, and purpose. So why does it always seem to elude you? Perhaps there’s more to success than meets the eye.

The Go-Giver is the story of Joe, an ambitious businessman who goes looking for the secrets to success in hopes of saving his career. His journey leads him into the mentorship of The Chairman who teaches him about the “Five Laws of Stratospheric Success.” Along the way, Joe receives help in unexpected ways from some pretty unconventional people. Will he crack the code in time to turn things around? You’ll have to dive in to find out!

*This book was gifted to me by a friend at a time when I was struggling to make ends meet as a wellness coach. I needed to come up with several thousands of dollars in a short amount of time to keep my business running. As I read this book, I empathized with Joe’s situation as I felt like I was doing everything right with little to show for it. But as I adopted the lessons that Joe learned throughout the book, I felt a sense of calm assuredness enter my awareness. To my amazement new business began rolling in shortly after and I was able to cover all of my expenses…and then some.

Igikai: The Japanese Secret To A Long And Happy Life by Hector Garcia and Francesc Miralles

Would you like to live a long and happy life with the knowing that you are fulfilling your purpose? This is what happens when your passion, profession, mission, and vocation come together in a concept called Igikai-otherwise known as a person’s reason for living. According to the Japanese, everyone has an igikai; and finding yours provides you with a foundation for life-long success.

The authors of this book conducted interviews with the inhabitants of a Japanese village known for having the highest percentage of centenarians (people who live to be at least 100 years old) to discover what sets them apart from the rest of the world. This book reveals their lifestyle habits including how they eat, how they move, how they work, how they collaborate, and how they foster collaboration and community. Even more, this book gives you tools to help you discover your unique igikai. If you’ve ever wondered what your life’s purpose is, this is a great resource for you.

The Success Principles: How To Get From Where You Are To Where You Want To Be by Jack Canfield

What if your dream was to climb a mountain but you had never done it before? Would you try to go it alone or would you take a trusted guide who has already scaled the summit? Most people would choose to take a guide because they can lead you on the safest path to the top. In the same way, the goals you’ve set for yourself have most likely already been achieved by someone else. If you pay close attention to how they did it, you will have instant access to their success roadmap.

This is the premise of The Success Principles by New York Times bestselling author Jack Canfield. In it, he delivers 67 timeless principles and practices used by the world’s most successful people. Instead of spending your precious time, energy, and resources getting bogged down in costly missteps, why not learn from experts who have already been where you want to go?

I often recommend this book to my clients as one of the best manuals for personal transformation. It is a must read for anyone looking to create a life beyond their wildest dreams.
